Effective Saturday, March 12, 2022, Snohomish County employees and volunteers of the Office of the CASA are no longer required to wear masks or face coverings in most indoor public spaces. Individuals may now make their own choice as to whether they want to continue wearing masks, while businesses and certain county facilities may have their own masking requirements. As the COVID-19 health pandemic continues to evolve, the Snohomish County policy will be updated to help ensure the safety of employees, volunteers, and community residents. All employees and volunteers are expected to adhere to COVID-19 policies.

The Snohomish County Office of the Court Appointed Special Advocate seeks to recruit and train a diverse set of volunteers and respectfully requests information about the identities you hold and the lived-experiences you would bring to this volunteer position.

A high school diploma or GED Equivalency is required to volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.
I understand that by submitting this application, I authorize inquiries to be made concerning my suitability as a volunteer. I further acknowledge that my service as a volunteer is an at-will appointment and may be terminated by the Office of the Court Appointed Special Advocate at any time.
Criteria used in the selection of volunteers will be such as to insure the individual is able to meet the responsibilities of a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate. No individuals will be rejected because race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, disability, ancestry, national origin, or marital status/civic union or domestic partnership status.
Completion of application, interview, and preservice training process does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
