DESCRIPTION

Located just north of the City of Darrington, this 82-acre park has 3 tournament-quality baseball fields and campground. Soak in spectacular views of Whitehorse Mountain at the county's first campground with equestrian sites. Whitehorse Park is an excellent base camp for adventures along the Whitehorse Trail or nearby hiking, biking, and rafting.

This peaceful park is located close to the Whitehorse Trail (there is no direct connection currently), North Mountain bike trails, Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Forest Service lands, hiking trails, fishing, the Mountain Loop Scenic Byway, and local restaurants and shops in Darrington. WINTERIZATION

Be aware, water is shut-off and restrooms and dump station are closed mid-October through mid-April.  Portable toilets are in place year-round.


HISTORY

This regional park was acquired by Snohomish County through a reconveyance process from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in 2000. The baseball fields were constructed in 2006. Phase 1 of the campground was completed in 2021 and Phase 2 was completed in 2023.
