Focus on Farming
Today is the 13th Annual Focus on Farming/Forestry conference hosted by Snohomish County. The conference brings together innovative ideas and generates discussions about the future of our region’s agricultural economy. Participants spend the day learning, networking, and even enjoying a farm to table meal.
Agriculture is one of Snohomish county’s most vibrant industries. It represents $139 million dollars in economic activity in the county with over 50,000 acres in agriculture production and 1,438 farms. We have some of the best soil in the country and our farmers produce everything from biodiesel crops, sweet corn, hay, tree fruits, specialty vegetables, berries, grass fed beef, dairy, and much more.
Supporting our farmers is good for the local economy and means more good food for the rest of us.
