‘Celebrate Spring Weekend’
offers weekend fun at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds April 22-24
Monroe, Snohomish County—Getout and enjoy spring in Snohomish County at the Celebrate Spring Weekend event
at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe!
Enjoy carnival rides and games,
ride in the Evergreen Speedway’s race car simulator, watch youngsters catch afish or visit the Farmer for a Day exhibit. Sip a refreshing root beer float
from the root beer garden, while browsing vendor booths. View thebeautiful quilt display at the Busy Bee Quilt Guild’s “Bee-utiful Quilts 2016”
show, or watch the competition in the WSHJA Spring National Jumper horse showand the Evergreen Junior Dairy Show (Saturday only). Auto racing on the
Evergreen Speedway, a swap meet and historic displays at the Heritage Museumround out the weekend’s festivities. There is no gate admission charge but the
carnival charges for rides and games and the Speedway charges for admission.Parking is $5 per vehicle.
Butler Amusements will bring agreat selection of carnival rides and games to the event, including the “dragon
wagon” from Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch. The carnival will run Friday,April 22, 4 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, April 23, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday,
April 24, 11 a.m. to closing. Discounted carnival ride wristbands are onsale now through April 21. For more information and discounted advance purchase

The Evergreen Fair Foundation’s
Homespun Spring Bazaar hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m.Sunday. Visitors can comfortably visit the indoor booths and displays in the
climate-controlled 36,000-square-foot Gary D. Weikel Event Center. Evergreen Fair Foundation is a non-profit which was formed in 2008 as a
resource to keep our Fairgrounds a valuable community asset, primarily focusedon youth and their activities connected with the Evergreen State Fair.
Aspiring anglers and first-timefishermen ages 12 and under can catch and release (or keep) a live trout at the
Les Schwab Tire Centers’ popular youth trout fishing pond. The giant 37-inchdeep, 20-by-8-foot pond will be stocked with nearly 1,000 trout and hosted by
Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club. All gear is provided for thisfun-for-the-family event.
