Secretary of Transportation to speak to Snohomish County Tomorrow

On Wednesday evening, Sept. 30, Washington State’s Secretary of Transportation Lynn Peterson will speak to Snohomish County Tomorrow (SCT) in the public meeting rooms of the Robert J. Drewel Building in downtown Everett. The public is invited to attend this free event.

Ms. Peterson will speak about tying land use policy decisions to transportation infrastructure more effectively. She will also discuss ways to address top priority transportation challenges in the state.

SCT is a cooperative forum comprised of representatives from Snohomish County, its cities, and the Tulalip Tribes. SCT’s primary function is to oversee the countywide planning policies – written policies on growth management from which the county’s and cities’ comprehensive plans are developed.

The event is scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30 in the public meeting rooms on the first floor of the Robert J. Drewel Building, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett, 98201.
