fireworks-small.jpg

Looking for ways to keep your pet calm and safe this Fourth of July? Consider these tips:

* Bring your pet indoors and play the radio or television to buffer loud noises

* If you’ll be enjoying the fireworks together, keep your pet on a leash and watch him or her carefully

* Ensure your pet is wearing a collar and pet license in case of escape; for additional identification in the event the collar is lost, consider a microchip

* Safeguard your pet from snacking on fireworks

* Contact your veterinarian about any questions or concerns
