Right before the state of Washington enacted the Growth Management Act, Snohomish County leaders from various pockets of the county got together to start a dialogue about growth and planning.
Twenty-six years later, Snohomish County Tomorrow (SCT), a growth management advisory council, is going strong; the group elected new officers at its Feb. 25 meeting.
Lake Stevens Mayor Vern Little and County Councilmember Brian Sullivan were elected co-chairs, and Snohomish Mayor Karen Guzak and County Councilmember Stephanie Wright will share vice-chair responsibilities. The new terms started immediately and will last for one year.
