Snohomish County Public Works to Begin Pioneer Highway Project 

Work will take place from county line to 300th St NW


EVERETT, Wash., May 5, 2023 – Motorists who travel along Pioneer Highway in northwest Snohomish County are asked to exercise patience when Snohomish County Public Works begins its pavement repair and overlay project. This project will ensure the roadway can continue to provide safe and efficient transportation and reduce further deterioration.


The work will consist of two parts: 1) Repair of the subgrade just south of the Snohomish/Skagit county line from May 8-21, 2023, by Snohomish County Road Maintenance; and 2) full-road paving under separate contract from the county line to 300th St NW later this summer.


Pioneer Highway Repair and Paving Project

When:  May 8 – 21, 2023, and summer 2023

Where: South of the Snohomish/Skagit county line in the southbound lane. Then from county line to 300th St NW

Why: To repair the subgrade and pave roadway.


Expect delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane.
