Annie Cole Promoted to Human Resources Policy Adviser

Will help implement changes from the 2019 Human Resources Performance Audit

EVERETT, Wash., February 5, 2020 – Today, Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers announced the promotion of Annie Cole to Human Resources Policy Director. Annie will be responsible for developing policies and implementation plans based on the 2019 Human Resources Performance Audit. This will include: the centralization of Human Resources functions; a classification and compensation study and implementation plan; development of a comprehensive labor strategy; and a re-write of personnel-related policies and codes.

“Annie has the talent and drive to ensure Snohomish County is able to upgrade our human resources capacity,” said Somers. “As an attorney and a human resources expert, Annie will be able to adapt our systems for current needs. I appreciate her agreeing to take on this key strategic role.”

“Snohomish County’s human resources infrastructure hasn’t been updated in decades and that means we cannot serve our residents as efficiently as possible,” said Cole. “For the county government to function at its best and best serve the public, we need to modernize human resources.”

Annie has been the Director of Human Resources for the county since 2016. She holds a degree in Political Science from Eastern Washington University and a law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law.
