[ARCHIVED] Auditor’s Office Seeking Volunteers to Write Statements Concerning Granite Falls School District Bal

The Snohomish County Auditor's Office is seeking individuals to serve on committees to write statements for or against measures for the February 13, 2018 Special Election local voters’ pamphlet. At this time, we are only seeking con (against) committee members for Granite Falls School District measures.

Committees are comprised of up to three individuals, one of which is designated chair and serves as a contact point for the Auditor’s Office. Committees may seek input from any number of other individuals or groups.

Individuals interested in participating on a committee should have a clear interest for or against the ballot measure, be able to work cooperatively with other committee members, and have time available through December 26. Most committees communicate through email.

Committees write a 250-word statement for or against local ballot measures in the local voters’ pamphlet. Committees also prepare a 75-word rebuttal to the opposition’s statement. Statements are due no later than 5pm on Thursday, December 21. Rebuttal statements are due no later than 5pm on Tuesday, December 26.

If you are interested in serving on a committee, email a statement of interest to elections@snoco.org by 5pm Wednesday December 20 or contact the Auditor’s Office at (425) 388-3321. Individuals will be appointed by the County Auditor and will be notified Wednesday December 20.

A statement of interest includes your name, your contact information, what district and ballot measure committee on which you are interested in serving, and any information explaining why you should be on the committee.
