Public Works Showcases Breadth of Services in 2016 Annual Report

EVERETT, Wash., February 17, 2017 – Snohomish County Public Works announced the availability of its 2016 Annual Report: Our Services to You. The report highlights the three primary groups that serve the community including the roads team (made up of the Transportation and Environmental Services, Engineering Services, and Road Maintenance Divisions), the Surface Water Management Division, and the Solid Waste Division.

“Public Works is focused on providing efficient, economical, and long-lasting services to the Snohomish County community,” said Steve Thomsen, Public Works Director. “It’s our goal to be transparent and keep the public informed about what is happening in their neighborhoods and that we listen to their comments and feedback

In 2016, the county completed numerous road and surface water-related construction projects, continued work on multiple programs benefitting the community and its resources, as well as processed and managed more than 484,000 tons of garbage. The report shares some of these 2016 accomplishments and highlights information about each of the groups and what they do for residents of the county.
