Council Selects Leadership Team for 2017  


On Tuesday January 3rd, 2017, the Snohomish County Council unanimously selected Councilmember Brian Sullivan to chair the Council for 2017. Councilmember Sullivan is in his third and final term on the council. Sullivan represents the 2nd Council District, which includes Everett, Mukilteo, and Tulalip, as well as unincorporated areas of the county. He served as Council Chair in 2012 and most recently was Vice-Chair in 2016.  

“I am excited to get to work as Chair of the Council this year” Councilmember Sullivan said. “We have many critical issues to address this year – I’m looking forward to working with my council colleagues as well as Executive Somers.”  

The County Council also selected Councilmember Stephanie Wright as Vice-Chair of the Council. The Vice-Chair is part of the leadership team of Council, and serves as Chair in the event of an absence. Councilmember Wright is in her 2nd term on the Council and represents District 3, which includes Edmonds, Lynnwood, Woodway and parts of unincorporated Snohomish County.  

“It is an honor to work for the people of Snohomish County and to be part of the leadership team for the upcoming year,” said Councilmember Wright.
