Time is Running Out - Are You Registered to Vote?


Everett, WA – There is still time to register to vote. If you have never registered to vote in Washington, you can register in person at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office through Monday, October 31.  The Auditor’s Office will have additional office hours on Saturday, October 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be open until 6 p.m. on October 31.


To register to vote in Washington, you must:


  • be a United States citizen;
  • have lived in Washington state for at least 30 days;
  • be at least 18 years old by November 8, 2016;
  • not be disqualified due to a court order; and
  • not be currently under Department of Corrections supervision for a felony conviction.


The Auditor’s Office is located on the first floor of the Snohomish County Administration West Building, 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett, and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.


If you are already registered, you can check your current voting status at www.vote.wa.gov.  


Registration assistance is available for those requiring accommodations. Please call the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office at 425-388-3444 (voice) or Washington Relay at 1-800-833-6388 or 7-1-1 (TTY/TDD) to request assistance.


Ballots will be mailed to all registered voters Thursday, October 20.  Voters’ pamphlets are arriving in mailboxes now.
