Focus on Farming

"Solutions for a Growing World"

Who:               Focus on Farming/Forestry is an event which gathers farmers and forest land owners to discuss the future of agriculture in Snohomish County and the region. Key-note speakers are: Virginia Tech Professor Emeritus Dr. David Kohl discussing not only the emerging trends impacting agriculture but also rural America’s bottom line in the short and long run; and Brown Paper Tickets CEO Steve Butcher who will discuss the need for marketing in a chaotic media environment. Guest speakers include: Dave Somers, Snohomish County Executive; Derek Sandison, Director, Washington State Department of Agriculture; Linda Neunzig, Snohomish County Agriculture Coordinator; and others. All are welcome to attend.

What:              Thirteenth annual Focus on Farming and second annual Focus on Forestry conference. This conference connects six different industry areas and holds various workshops to foster innovation and generate discussion of economic resilience within the agricultural and forest community.

When:             November 3, 2016. Conference registration opens at 7:00 a.m. Conference concludes at 5:30 p.m.
