Marketing and Operations Support for Tourism Driven Programs

Snohomish County Hotel/Motel Lodging Tax grant seeking applicants

Everett, Snohomish County—Snohomish County is accepting applications from non-profit and public tourism entities with a demonstrated ability to draw tourism and overnight stays in the county.

Funds may be used for marketing and promotion of events which draw tourists to stay overnight in the county, and may otherwise be used only if projects strongly align with the Snohomish County Strategic Tourism Plan.

Tourism programs previously funded include the nationally televised Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships, held at XFINITY Arena, Everett; and promotion of the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour through Evening Magazine.

Funds will be released January 2017 to competitive applicants who can complete proposed projects by Dec. 15, 2017. Details of eligibility and other program requirements are included in the application package, which must be filled out and returned to the Snohomish County Parks and Recreation Department Administration Office at Willis Tucker Park, 6705 Puget Park Drive, M/S 303, Snohomish, WA  98296 by 5 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2016.  Applications can be found on http://snohomishcountywa.gov/documentcenter/view/35765

For more information on the program, contact Annique Bennett at 425-388-3263 Annique.Bennett@snoco.org or  Jessica Voelker at 425-388-3139.
