Snohomish County lodging grant seeking applicants
Everett, Snohomish County—Today, Snohomish County announced it is accepting applications from non-profit and public tourism entities with a demonstrated ability to draw tourism and overnight stays in the county.
Funds may be used for marketing and promotion of events which draw tourists to stay overnight in the county, and may otherwise be used only if projects strongly align with the Snohomish County Strategic Tourism Plan.
Tourism programs previously funded include the nationally televised Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships, held at XFINITY Arena, Everett; and promotion of the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour through Evening Magazine.
Funds will be released January 2017 to competitive applicants who can complete proposed projects by Dec. 15, 2017. Details of eligibility and other program requirements are included in the application package, which must be filled out and returned to the Snohomish County’s Parks and Recreation Department by 5 p.m. Friday, September 2. Applications can be found here.
