Snohomish County Low Impact Development for Developers

Low Impact Development in Snohomish County
Snohomish County Planning and Development Services (PDS)

Organizer of Low Impact Development in Snohomish County

Snohomish County Planning and Development Services (PDS) has joined forces with Herrera Environmental Engineers to bring the development community in Snohomish County a workshop that will address the realities of Low Impact Development (LID) within Snohomish County through a focus on site assessment.

As populations and construction swell in Unincorporated Snohomish County, LID is one method to help balance increasing densities with environmental stewardship. As of January 2016, LID is a required drainage element within every project across the County, when feasible.

Join us for a day of hands-on site assessment training. The workshop will provide information on topics ranging from assessing the feasibility of incorporating LID practices into a site, to how to protect Low Impact Density (LID) Best Management Practices ( BMP) through project planning and construction sequencing.

The workshop will be led by Herrera Environmental Engineering, a Statewide LID Training Program Lead, and include LID development presentations from Merle Ash, of Land Technologies, Inc., and Ken Crossman, PDS Manager. The Workshop will also include a discussion of PDS's new electronic submittal process, including how to utilize MyBuildingPermit.com and Bluebeam sessions.

Arrive with questions and leave with a certificate signed by PDS. All participants will also be listed on the PDS website as LID Workshop attendees. Lunch will be provided.
