Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force Locates Missing Juvenile with Registered Sex Offender

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. – On Thursday, June 17, the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) in partnership with the US Marshals Service located a missing 13-year-old and arrested a 21-year-old Everett man for unlawful harboring of a minor and second-degree rape of a child.
The 13-year-old was missing out of Thurston County and was believed to be with a 21-year-old Everett man who is currently registered as a sex offender in Snohomish County.
Local law enforcement made contact at the suspect’s house and executed a search warrant on the 21-year-old Everett man’s residence. The suspect and victim were not located.
Around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, VOTF detectives obtained information on a possible location for the suspect and the missing juvenile.
VOTF began conducting surveillance in an outdoor shopping center on 164th St SW in Lynnwood. Around 1 a.m. Friday, VOTF observed the suspect and the juvenile victim arrive to the location. Detectives approached the suspect and placed him under arrest without incident.
The victim was escorted away from the area.
The 21-year-old Everett man was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for unlawful harboring of a minor and second-degree rape of a child.
