Major Crimes Unit Detectives Investigate Arlington Homicide

ARLINGTON, Wash. – Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to reports of a domestic violence assault with a weapon in the 19900 block of 127th Ave NE. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, a 51-year-old Arlington man, with an injury to his neck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, a 31-year-old Arlington man, was located and taken into custody in the 20800 block of 127th Ave NE.  


During the investigation, Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives learned there was a verbal altercation that occurred outside the residence involving three adults who reside there together: the 31-year-old suspect, the 51-year-old victim, and a 21-year-old woman. The altercation turned physical and the 31-year-old suspect struck the 51-year-old Arlington man with an edged weapon.


The 31-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for second-degree murder domestic violence. This is an active investigation. 


Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
