BOTHELL, Wash. – At approximately 8 p.m. last night, deputies responded to a shooting in the 4300 block of 148th St SE. An 18-year-old male suffered gunshot wounds to his arm and his abdomen and was transported by aid to Harborview Medical Center. A second victim, a 17-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to his chest and was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.
During the investigation, Major Crimes Unit detectives learned the incident started as a verbal altercation in the parking lot. The victims were sitting inside a vehicle when two male suspects approached them and engaged in a verbal altercation before shooting the 18-year-old male and the 17-year-old male.
Detectives believe the victims and suspects are known to each other.
There was an event going on inside the facility at the time of the shooting in the parking lot, however, the victims and suspects were not associated with that event.
This is an active investigation.
