CIU Investigates Fatal Crash in Sultan

SULTAN, Wash. – Around 8 p.m. on Friday, Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit detectives responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash in the 16000 block of 311th Ave SE.  A vehicle was traveling northbound on 311th when it lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, a 20-year-old Sultan woman, was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Providence Regional Medical Center where she later died.

CIU detectives are still working to determine the cause of the crash.

Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death, will come from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
