Suspect Arrested for Attempted Kidnapping in South Everett

EVERETT, Wash. – At approximately 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to the 12100 block of 4th Ave W and arrested a 44 year-old man for attempted kidnapping. The victim, a 12 year-old boy, was running through an apartment complex when the suspect exited from the woods and attempted to grab him. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and a mask. The victim stomped on the suspect’s foot and elbowed him to escape. The 12 year-old victim was able to run into the office of the apartment complex and alerted staff who called 911. Deputies responded to the scene and searched the area for the suspect. In nearby woods, deputies located a tent and the 44 year-old suspect was found sitting inside. He was wearing a hat with fake hair attached, a black mask, a black zip-up jacket and a black hooded sweatshirt overtop.

At the time of the arrest, the 44 year-old suspect was in possession of a unicorn pillow and multiple dolls with genitalia drawn on them. The 44 year-old male was arrested without incident and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for attempted kidnapping.

Special Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate this incident.
