TULALIP, Wash. – Around 4 p.m. Sunday, Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit detectives recovered skeletal human remains near the 7900 block of 31st Ave NE. A nearby resident building a motorcycle track located the remains in a wooded area and called 911. Detectives believe the skeletal remains may be a missing man who disappeared from that area in 2018.
The death does not appear to be suspicious in nature, but Major Crimes Unit detectives continue to process the scene and investigate the death.
Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
