Shots Fired after collision involving two vehicles in Everett

Everett, Wash. – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault with a weapon call in the 12600 block of 8th Ave W at approximately 7:10 p.m. Witnesses reported a collision involving two vehicles and then heard approximately 4 gun shots. Several subjects were seen running from the scene in different directions before the police arrived. An adult male was contacted in the 12600 block of 4th Ave W several minutes later with what appeared to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital and is not cooperating with the investigation. Deputies are continuing to search the area with a police K-9, but do not believe there is a threat to the community. The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
