EVERETT, Wash. – A 25 year-old Lake Stevens man was taken into custody following a pursuit on I-5 last night. Around 11:30 p.m., deputies located a stolen truck suspected of being involved in a recent burglary and two recent armed robberies. Deputies attempted a traffic stop on the truck near the 1900 block of Airport Road. The driver turned out its headlights and began to accelerate. Deputies pursued the vehicle onto northbound I-5 and northbound 527. The vehicle attempted to get back on southbound I-5 via the Broadway on-ramp when the pursuing deputy did a PIT maneuver forcing the vehicle to stop. The passenger, a 23 year-old Mukilteo woman, was taken into custody without incident. The 25 year-old male driver attempted to resist arrest, but was eventually taken into custody. He was booked into Snohomish County jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, attempting to elude and two outstanding warrants.
