LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 33 year-old Kent man Tuesday night following an arson investigation in the 15900 block of Hwy 99. Multiple witnesses called 911 around 8:30 p.m. reporting hearing gun shots and seeing a mobile home on fire. South County Fire responded to the scene and located a mobile home fully-engulfed in flames. The home was unoccupied and there were no injuries. During the investigation, the Fire Marshal determined the cause of the fire to be arson.
Sheriff’s Office deputies located 5 shell casings outside the mobile home. Assisting Lynnwood police officers located the suspect nearby walking on Hwy 99. The 33 year-old Kent man was arrested and booked into Snohomish County jail for first-degree arson, unlawful possession of a firearm and aiming and discharging a dangerous weapon.
This is still an ongoing investigation. Any questions about the arson investigation should be directed to the Fire Marshal’s Office.
