Deputies Investigate Stabbing of Juvenile in Lake Stevens

LAKE STEVENS, Wash. – Two suspects were taken into custody last night following a stabbing that occurred in Lake Stevens at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 11700 block of 24th Street SE where a 15 year-old male was located with two stab wounds. The 15 year-old victim was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. During the course of the investigation, deputies were told that the victim and another 15 year-old male and an 18 year-old female met at a nearby park where an alleged attempted robbery and physical altercation occurred. Following the altercation, it was reported that the 15 year-old male stabbed the victim and fled the scene with the female in a vehicle.
Just before 9 p.m. deputies located the 15 year-old male suspect and the 18 year-old female driver and took them into custody.
This is still an active investigation.
