SWAT Responds to Barricaded Suspect in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Just after 6 a.m. Monday the Region 1 SWAT team responded to a known location of a warrant subject in the 14700 block of Manor Way. South county deputies determined that a subject with an active felony warrant for 1st degree assault was inside the residence. When deputies arrived on scene just after 5 a.m. they called all the occupants to come out of the house. Several adult occupants exited the residence. The warrant suspect barricaded himself inside. At approximately 6 a.m. the Region 1 SWAT Team responded to the residence. They attempted to communicate with the suspect. After several hours and continuous unsuccessful efforts to communicate with the suspect, the SWAT robot was deployed into the residence. The suspect immediately exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident. The 29 year-old Camano Island man was booked into Snohomish County jail for 1st degree assault. A second subject, a 27 year-old male, who exited the residence upon arrival was also arrested and booked into jail for an active felony warrant.
