Man Arrested for Vehicular Assault

SNOHOMISH, Wash. – A 54 year-old Issaquah man was arrested last night for vehicular assault after striking a woman with his car following an argument. Deputies arrived at the 6900 block of 135th St SE around 11 p.m. where they saw the victim, a 54 year-old woman being treated by aid units on stretcher. The man said he had been arguing with the woman while driving her to the location. After they stopped and she exited the vehicle, he told deputies he struck her with the vehicle, causing her to fall to the ground and injuring her leg. Investigators believe the man was under the influence of alcohol and a blood draw was taken. The woman was transported to the hospital and the man booked into jail. Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.
