Detectives Investigate Vehicle vs Child Pedestrian Collision

EVERETT, Wash. – Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a collision that occurred earlier tonight when a vehicle struck an 8 year-old girl at the 2300 block of 116th St SE around 6 p.m.. The victim, reported to have been unconscious and breathing, was transported to Harborview Regional Medical Center. The driver, a 57 year-old Bothell man, stayed on scene and cooperated with detectives. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, but witnesses reported to detectives that the child ran into the roadway before being struck by a vehicle.
