Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Unit rescues 22 year old female hiker.

On 7/2/17 at approximately 7:44 pm the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting that a 22 year old female had fallen down a 100-200 foot ravine and broken her hand. She was wearing a helmet, but had hit numerous rocks during the fall. She was also complaining of dizziness and nausea.  The call was made by the female's hiking partner, who had hiked back far enough to obtain cell service.

The location of the incident was "Exfoliation Dome" off of FSR 2060 outside of Darrington, off the Mt. Loop Hwy.

Search and Rescue ground units responded, along with Sno-Hawk 10 and numerous fire units including Silvana, Arlington Heights, Oso, and Arlington.

Sno-Hawk 10 was able to rescue the injured female just prior to darkness. She was flown to Twin Rivers County Park where an aid crew was waiting to transport her to the hospital for further medical treatment.
