MUKILTEO, Wash. – Sheriff’s Office detectives are still looking for tips from the public in regards to the disappearance of 16 year-old Tyler Christensen from Mukilteo last year.

The Special Investigations Unit has continued the investigation since Christensen was reported missing by his family April 19, 2016.  Detectives believe he left his home on his own volition and took the Edmonds/Kingston ferry that night.  In May 2016, Christensen’s backpack was found near the High Steel Bridge near Shelton in Mason County. His DNA and information has been entered in federal databases for missing persons.  Christensen turns 18 year-old next month and detectives would still like to learn of his whereabouts and ensure that he is safe.

Anyone with information about Christensen’s whereabouts can contact the Sheriff’s Office Anonymous TipLine:  425-388-3845.
