EVERETT, WASH. – One of the suspects in a home invasion robbery that occurred last week has turned himself into police. The 26 year-old Seattle man flagged down a Snohomish County Sheriff’s captain last Friday morning and allegedly said he was one of the suspects in a webcam video from a robbery and assault that was shared widely on social media. He was taken into custody and booked into the Snohomish County jail for second degree strong-arm robbery without incident but has not offered any further information about the incident or the other suspect.
The robbery occurred last Wednesday around 10:30 a.m. a few blocks to the west of Mariner High School in Everett. The suspects kicked down three doors, confronted the 45 year-old female homeowner who was hiding in the bathroom, ripped jewelry off of her, stole her phone, and fled.
It is believed that the pressure created by wide exposure of the suspect’s photo on various social media and news stories channels led to the suspect giving himself up.
Identification of the second suspect has yet to be confirmed and he remains at large.
