ARLINGTON, WASH. – Snohomish County Sheriff's Office detectives responded to an assault by a 36 year-old man of his 17 year-old stepson.  The incident was reported around 11:30 p.m. yesterday at the 10600 block of 107th Ave NE by family members. It is believed that the suspect had arrived to a residence in that area, intoxicated and combative. His two stepsons, the victim and his 19 year-old brother, confronted the man when the suspect assaulted the boy, knocking him to the ground leaving him unconscious and not breathing. Aid arrived and transported the 17 year-old to a nearby hospital.  The suspect was booked for 2nd degree assault.

This was one of two assault incidents that the Sheriff's Office responded to overnight.
