Deputies Investigate Threat Made on Social Media

LAKEWOOD, WASH. – Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a threat made to a Lakewood Middle School student this morning via social media.  The threat was from an unknown individual stating, “Don’t go to Lakewood Middle School Today, There Is Going To Be A Shooting”.  The student showed his parents and the Lakewood School District notified the Sheriff’s Office.

The School District has made a decision to close all schools while deputies investigate.  Deputies are currently in the process of obtaining a search warrant to identify where the threat originated and will be on-site throughout the day.
