Woman Dies in Granite Falls Collision

Granite Falls, WASH. – A 19 year-old Granite Falls woman died in a two vehicle collision that occurred at the 18200 block of Quarry Rd around 3:45 a.m.  Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.

Witnesses report that a Dodge truck was driving southbound on Quarry Rd when a Nissan passenger vehicle traveling northbound made a sudden turn in front of the truck. The truck struck the vehicle in a "t-bone" collision and the driver died at the scene.  The driver of the truck, a 41 year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.  

Identification of the female, as well as cause and manner of her death, are pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office.
