Snohomish County Deputies Investigating a Shooting in South Everett

Everett, Wash. – At about 1030 pm, August 21st, Snohomish County deputies responded to a reported accidental shooting in the 12100 block of Andrew Sater Road, Everett in unincorporated Snohomish County.
Deputies located a 34 year old female with a gunshot wound to her stomach. She was treated by an aid crew at the scene and transported to Harborview Medical Center. Her condition is not known at this time but she was conscious and alert when first contacted.
Witnesses reported that a male visitor had an unknown type of firearm in a bag that discharged when he set the bag down. He left the location and has not yet been located. It is not believed that he poses any continuing danger to the public.
The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is enroute to the location to continue the investigation, which is expected to last several hours. No further information is expected to be released this evening.
