Snohomish, Wash - The pursuit of a wanted felon ended with a manhunt and the eventual capture of the suspect. The incident began earlier this evening when the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force was searching for the 27 year-old man near the Snohomish area. The man, who has several outstanding felony warrants in Seattle, was located around 3:45 p.m. driving what was believed to be a stolen vehicle.
A pursuit of the suspect began southbound on SR9 and ended when the suspect crashed his vehicle near the intersection of SR9 and the Lowell-Larimer Rd, closing the highway. The suspect fled his vehicle on foot and was pursued by the task force, Snohomish Police Department and deputies and K9 units from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect made his way into an occupied house in the area. Law enforcement advised occupants of the house to flee to a safe location under the protection of deputies. As calls and tips from the public came in about the suspect’s whereabouts, he was successfully taken into custody around 4:30 p.m.
Some vehicles were damaged by the suspect as he fled law enforcement, but no injuries have been reported.
