SNOHOMISH, Wash. – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue teams have returned to Blackmans Lake today to continue searching for a missing 38 year-old fisherman last seen Saturday. Volunteers and personnel are using side-scan sonar, pole camera and detection dogs in the search.  Visibility along the bottom of the lake is extremely low, complicating search efforts.

The man was reported missing by concerned family members after he did not return home and did not answer his cellphone Saturday night.  The vehicle he had borrowed was found in a parking lot at the lake Sunday morning.

The search was launched Sunday morning when relatives of the Lake Forest Park man called 911 to report him missing.  He was last seen by another fisherman at the lake, who reported that he saw the man inflating a blue raft (not kayak, as previously reported) Saturday in the parking lot.  Personnel at the scene located an inflatable blue raft partially submerged in the lake when they arrived Sunday.
