LAKE STEVENS, Wash. — A Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputy lost control of his patrol car and left the roadway, colliding with a guardrail and power box. The collision occurred around 1:45 a.m. on SR 92 near 113th Ave. NE.
The deputy, who has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2010, was attempting to overtake another vehicle when he reportedly lost control and went off the road. There was minor damage to the guardrail and it is believed that the patrol car was totaled. The deputy was uninjured, but evaluated at a local hospital as a precaution. No other vehicles were involved.
Per Sheriff’s Office policy, the incident will be investigated internally in conjunction with a collision investigation.
