North Rd Improvements between Filbert Rd & 164th St SW

July 27, 2015 Update

Thank you for joining Snohomish County Public Works and County Executive John Lovick to celebrate the official reopening of North Road on July 22, 2015.

Project Description

North Road is a 1.8-mile north-south arterial located east of Interstate 5 and west of the Bothell-Everett Highway (SR 527). The two-lane corridor was under construction during 2014 and 2015 to add improvements that benefitted pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers.

Sidewalks and bike lanes were constructed along both sides of the corridor between Filbert Road and 164th Street Southwest, along with a continuous center turn lane.

Planting strips were be added in several locations where there was sufficient right-of-way. Storm water detention and water quality treatment systems handle water runoff and retaining walls protect and preserve wetland areas.

Interwest Construction was the contractor.
