As an accounting specialist, you will focus on either payroll, grants accounting, or accounts receivable/accounts payable. You will work within the county rules, using established software programs. Each day, you will work with internal clients to provide effective and accurate financial services to the employees of the Superior Court.
To thrive in this role, you must have great attention to detail and an solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping practices.
SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
You’ll need to have accurate math skills, good data entry skills, and a sequential, methodical approach to numbers.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE/TRAINING THAT SUPPORTS YOUR SUCCESS
An associate’s degree in accounting is helpful but not required, and having hands-on professional experience in accounting will help you be successful in this position.
