- Forsgren Park Playground Renovation Project
Snohomish County Parks & Recreation is renovating the play area at Forsgren Park in Bothell. This project will replace the outdated play equipment to improve the play area's safety and accessibility standards. The play equipment will include play structures and seating for children of all abilities ages 2 to 12.
Updated 11/9/23
The playground equipment at Forsgren Park was removed as part of the ongoing playground renovation project. New equipment is anticipated by Spring 2024. The next meeting for the community to offer input on the new equipment is anticipated in November 2023. We thank you for your patience and cooperation while we make these improvements.
Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback with us this spring! We had over 270 people share their thoughts with us at our open house and via online survey. We are taking your comments and creating playground designs to share with the community at another public meeting in November 2023. If you are interested in participating, please keep an eye on this page for updates on the park.
Preferred design selection, cost estimating, and construction planning
The property was formerly a county-owned gravel pit. It was reclaimed in the early 1980s and offered to the Parks Division. The first development of the site was funded by a HUD grant that provided for grading and seeding of the soccer fields. The North Shore Soccer Youth Association funded the all-weather soccer fields and baseball fields. The association continues to maintain the fields and schedule games.
