Human Wellbeing Integration Project

Beginning in 2017, the Sno-Stilly LIO (along with four others) engaged in the Human Wellbeing (HWB) Integration Project led by the Puget Sound Partnership and Oregon State University (OSU), to develop tools to facilitate the integration of social and environmental science for prioritizing local recovery actions.

Part of the project team's work includes a regionwide survey of subjective HWB Vital Signs conducted every two years. This data has been captured in a report as well as a mapping tool - Human Wellbeing Data Explorer: Puget Sound. The first paper stemming from the 2018 HWB Vital Sign survey data, Whose Puget Sound?: Examining place attachment, residency, and stewardship in the Puget Sound region was also recently published.
