Construction work on this project was completed on Sept. 17, 2020. Some minor work remains that will not impact traffic.
Snohomish County Public Works is scheduled to replace a culvert under Rice Rd (339th Ave SE) during summer 2020. The two existing failing culverts are undersized and will be replaced with a single 24-inch corrugated plastic storm sewer pipe.
The construction work is scheduled to begin on July 6. The road will be closed and a signed detour route will be used for a week starting July 6.
To install the new culvert, Rice Rd is scheduled to be closed in the 13400 block during construction. A signed detour route will be posted. Emergency services will be notified of the project and prepared to provide assistance to residents during the road closure.
This project cost estimate is $80,715 and will be funded through the county Surface Water Utility funds.
