COVID-19 Parks Response

UPDATE 04/13/2020, 2:32 pm

What we’re doing

The health and safety of our community is our top concern, and we are doing our part to help contain the spread of this COVID-19. We are making daily assessments based on Public Health’s guidance, and we will do our best to communicate any changes in our operations as quickly as possible. In accordance with guidance from Snohomish County Public Health and the Washington Department of Health regarding COVID-19, these steps are being taken to better enforce social distancing and ensure all appropriate steps are being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19. While Snohomish County is closing gates and bathrooms to county parks, the Snohomish Health District continues to encourage people to stay active while maintaining social distancing. The following Snohomish County Park facilities restrictions are in effect:
COVID-19

Facilities:

  • Parks:  Parks and trails remain open.  However, gates to all parks and trail heads are closed through May 4, 2020.  Rule of thumb:  If you need the car, the park's too far.  Citations will be issued for blocking gates and/or improperly parked vehicles.
  • Boat Launches: Due to all park gates being closed, boat launches will be inaccessible through May 4, 2020.  Annual passes, valid during the closure, will be honored beyond their punched expiration date.  The duration of the extension will be based upon when the gates re-open.
  • Restrooms:  Closed through May 4, 2020.
  • Playgrounds:  Playgrounds/playground structures are closed through May 4, 2020.
  • Picnic Shelters: All facility reservations cancelled through May 20, 2020.
  • Activity Centers:  Willis Tucker Park.  Closed.  All facility reservations cancelled through May 20, 2020.
  • Yurts & Vacation Home:  Kayak Point/River Meadows Parks.   All facility reservations cancelled through May 4, 2020.
Full refunds will be issued.  No new reservations accepted through May 4, 2020.
  • Administration Offices:  Willis Tucker Park, Fair Park, and WSU Extension offices are closed to the public until further notice (Business by phone and online will continue).
  • Sport fields/rentals:  All scheduled practices and games cancelled.
  • Permitted events and rentals: All events/gatherings cancelled until May 20, 2020.
  • Swim Lessons:  All registrations on hold until May 1st.
