Electronic Filing
MANDATORY E-FILING COMING 09/01/2022
On December 1, 2020, the Snohomish County Clerk’s Office began accepting electronic filing (e-filing) and electronic service (e-service) of most Superior Court new cases and subsequent documents. Please see Snohomish County Local Rule 30 (SCLR 30) for a list of documents that will NOT BE ACCEPTED through e-filing. Additionally, proposed orders and Ex-Parte-via-the-Clerk documents filed through e-filing WILL NOT be presented to the bench for signature; they will be indexed in the case as filed.
Attorneys and self-represented litigants may electronically file (e-file) and electronically serve (e-serve) court documents using the Clerk’s online Odyssey File & Serve (OFS) e-filing system pursuant to SCLR 30 and Washington State General Rule 30 (GR 30). It is recommended that the two court rules linked above are read prior to using the Clerk's e-filing system.
Filing hours for paper or electronic documents are Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. PST, excluding court holidays. Any paper or electronic documents received outside of these filing hours will be considered received and filed at the beginning of the next business day.
Odyssey File & Serve Filing Fees
There are no fees for using File & Serve. The only fees that users will encounter are statutory filing fees and an eCommerce transaction fee which shall be applied for each electronic payment (2.89% of total fees for credit and debit cards).
Judicial Working Copies
Judicial working copies will continue to be required in paper form and presented pursuant to SCLR 7(b)(2)(b) unless directed otherwise by Superior Court.
