On December 1, 2020, the Snohomish County Clerk’s Office began accepting electronic filing (e-filing) and electronic service (e-service) of most Superior Court new cases and subsequent documents. Please see Snohomish County Local Rule 30 (SCLR 30) for a list of documents that will NOT BE ACCEPTED through e-filing. Additionally, proposed orders and Ex-Parte-via-the-Clerk documents filed through e-filing WILL NOT be presented to the bench for signature; they will be indexed in the case as filed.
Attorneys and self-represented litigants may electronically file (e-file) and electronically serve (e-serve) court documents using the Clerk’s online Odyssey File & Serve (OFS) e-filing system pursuant to SCLR 30 and Washington State General Rule 30 (GR 30). It is recommended that the two court rules linked above are read prior to using the Clerk's e-filing system.
Filing hours for paper or electronic documents are Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. PST, excluding court holidays. Any paper or electronic documents received outside of these filing hours will be considered received and filed at the beginning of the next business day.
Odyssey File & Serve Filing Fees
Regular filing fees apply and are paid via credit card (Visa or MasterCard only). In addition, an eCommerce transaction fee shall be applied for each electronic payment (2.89% of total fees for credit and debit cards) when e-filing via OFS.
Judicial Working Copies
Judicial working copies will continue to be required in paper form and presented pursuant to SCLR 7(b)(2)(b) unless directed otherwise by Superior Court.
To register, select eFile WA and review additional e-filing information, training videos, manuals, and FAQ's. If you haven't completed a training webinar, it is strongly recommended you review the "Information for Filers" section on the registration page.
Tyler Technologies offers online training webinars on how to electronically file documents using Odyssey File & Serve. These sessions are free, when available, and can be accessed by registering at the below link. If there are no webinars being offered, the below link will not contain any information. If you’re interested in a pre-recorded training webinar, please see second link below.
A one hour pre-recorded training webinar is also available by clicking the link below.
E-filing Support & Assistance
OFS is hosted by Tyler Technologies, which provides customer support to users; court staff have a limited ability to assist with technical e-filing questions and problems.
If you experience a problem with e-filing or registration due to technical issues with the application, please contact OFS Support:
Tyler support hours are 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. CST, excluding Tyler Technologies holidays.
If you have questions related to how to use the e-filing application, Clerk e-filing policies, procedures, or local practices, please first review the Clerk’s FAQ page as well as Tyler Technologies FAQ page. If you have additional questions that are not answered in FAQs, or you are unable to resolve an issue, please contact the Clerk's e-filing support team (Note: Because some of the FAQs between the Clerk and Tyler Technologies provide similar information, we encourage you to review Clerk FAQs first as they are tailored for those e-filing in Snohomish County):
Clerk support hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. PST, excluding County holidays.
