Fire District 24 and Fire District 25 began the Community Wildfire Protection Plan development in early 2019 with support from the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management, Washington State Department of Natural Resources, and the US Forest Service. Two community meetings were held (one each in Oso and Darrington) with over 50 attendees who provided valuable feedback and insight into the CWPP and are included in the public comment version below, the interactive map, and the wildfire maps.
