Snohomish County Public Works will be replacing a culvert under the road at 15411 Manor Way during summer 2019. The current 21-inch diameter culvert is on a fish-bearing tributary to Swamp Creek and will be replaced with an 11-foot wide concrete box culvert. The new culvert will ease road flooding and improve fish passage.
Work is anticipated to take place during summer 2019.
To install the new culverts the road will be closed between 156th St SW and 153rd St SW for approximately three weeks between July and September. The detour route will be signed and utilize 148th St SW, 35th Ave W, and 164th St SW. Local access will remain available to residents and businesses on Manor Way during the closure.
The estimated cost for this culvert replacement is $300,000 and will be funded through Surface Water Utility funds.
