Various other offices provide services and information related to the assessor's value determinations. The most common departments are listed:
Auditor - The Auditor's Office provides regional services in the areas of licensing and animal control services, elections and voter registration, and document recording.
Board of Equalization - The board is an independent body organized to hear appeals of various determinations made by the assessor. It is comprised of five citizen members appointed by the Snohomish County Council. The Board's goal is to provide an impartial hearing environment that protects each party's due process rights and results in a fair decision.
County Council - The Snohomish County Council is the legislative authority for the county. The five members of the council are elected to four-year terms. Each member represents a specific geographic district.
Planning and Development Services - Your "go to" place for Codes & Regulation, Planning Commission, Agricultural Advisory Board, Snohomish County Tomorrow and other areas of planning and development within the county.

Surface Water Management - Snohomish County's Surface Water Management Division provides a variety of programs and services for reducing road and property flooding and preserving and improving the health of Snohomish County's water resources and natural systems.
Treasurer - The treasurer is custodian of all funds for Snohomish County and special purpose taxing districts (school, fire, drainage, diking districts, etc.) located within the county.
The Assessor's Office does not handle the following services. However, the Treasurer's Office can help you with these services.
